Miss Addy loves to swing. She is truly getting adorable. She has started pulling herself up on the couch and gets so excited. We always clap and cheer for her. When we didn't a few times, she glanced around and then cheered for herself. Priceless. I have some videos to post later.

Kindle Skins

Noah wants to skin his Xbox 360.  So while searching for something awesome, I stumbled upon Decal Girls website.  They have skins for everything, including my beloved Kindle 2.  They are all so cute that I can't decide!

There were many more, but these were some of may favorites.

Farewell Oceanspray

I never made cranberry sauce before, but holy cow!  I made it this year and I vow never to use the canned stuff again.  This is soooooo easy and sooooo good.

Add 1 cup of sugar and one cup of water to a saucepan.  Stir to dissolve and add 1 12oz. bag of cranberries. When it comes to a boil and the cranberries pop open it's done.  I could eat this by the spoonfuls!

Being Thankful

I have many things to be thankful for this year.

1.  My healthy wonderful kids and granddaughter.
2.  A man that loves me.
3.  A good job
4.  Good friends
5.  Roof over my head and food on the table
6.  My grandmother, who is like my mother, is still alive.

When the basics are listed out, I think it puts life in perspective.  It's not how much money you have or how many material things you have.  It's about being with the ones you love.

It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving down here in the South (I'm a Yankee).  But I am excited to hear that a cold front is moving in...I think on Thanksgiving Day.  Yeah!!!  I'm off work this year.  Finally, I can cook.  Pepper and her family are coming to celebrate (eat)  with us.  Then off to the movies and then off to  wait in line for the Balck Friday deals.  Whew...I'm tired already!

Plays With Bees

I haven't opened the hives for awhile. Either the weather is bad or Abby is at school and the list goes on. When I watch them they seem to be doing well. Still bringing back pollen on their pollen baskets. Not as active at times, probably due to the cooler weather. Abby is my little bee charmer. They like her. She talks to them. She picked up this little girl in our flowering weeds. She danced on her arm and then she put her back.

Wet Bunny

Bunnicula was dirty and really needed a bath.  He was a champ for Alexis.  He's so sweet and good natured.  Very cat/dog like.  He looked kinda creepy when he was wet.  He's usually VERY fluffy since he's an angora.  We are planning little Bunniculas for Easter.

Little Red

I love capes...especially flowing hooded ones.  I saw a similar pattern in a book called Fairytale Knits.  This one was free on Raverly.  I need to start this now for Addy  for next fall.  It is so freakin' cute.

Yesterday Addy and I went to the park with Kim and Emerson. The girls are toooo cute, but weren't the
happiest babies yesterday. They were quite somber. They are a week apart, but a big difference in size. My one daughter said that Addy may be a dwarf...lol! I think she was serious.

Homemade Marshmallows

I first saw pictures of homemade marshmallows on the Black Apple blog last year.  I had intentions of making them, but we all know how that goes at times.  I even bought my candy thermometer which is anxiously still waiting to be unwrapped and used.  They don't look hard and look yummy.  I may give them as gifts this year.  Here's Martha's recipe.

Yarn, yarn and more yarn

It's not a secret that I love yarn.  Even if it just sits there.....I love it.  Now these yarn wreaths are awesome. Katie Runnels is oh so talented. I had the pleasure of seeing some of her work in person at the SCAD shop in Savannah.  I am going to make one for the holidays.  I have a bunch of small occupied japan bobbles that I thrifted for pennies last year.  Here's her tutorial that she graciously shared.

Vintage Kitchen Score

I haven't been antiquing for awhile.  I used to do it regularly.  Auctions used to be a favorite when I lived in PA.  I would rack up on the deals and they were sooo addicting.  Since my new kitchen is themed vintage 40's, I have been on the look out for some aprons, crochet pot holders and cutesy embroidery.  I found the apron above for a wall in my kitchen.  So far this week I scored the crochet potholders all for 1.00 each (a steal) and the cutest ever pair of embroidered ones for the same price.  The teddy bear spoon rest was 15.00 and marked down to 90% off.  I did buy a vintage yellow mixing bowl and an adorable vintage embroidered piece with a girl and flowers that I am going to turn into a dress for Addy.  I love this stuff.  And the hunt goes on.............................................................................................

I found Bakerella from Pioneer Women's site (God I love that women). Bakerella makes these adorable and scrumptious looking cake pops. They are sooo cute and clever. I haven't made them yet , but plan on doing some for the holidays. Check out the site and some of the great creations.

Over the Rainbow

Check out this perfect rainbow while sitting at the stop light at McDonald's.  Taken with the trusty dusty Iphone.   Now where is my pot of gold?????

Sublime Stitching and Shopping Today

Today is pure relaxation. The peep, God I love her, is at the sitter's. Her mom is gone somewhere to study..or so she says. The other chicks and I are headed to Gainesville for a shopping excursion. My son needs dress shoes (ha, ha that's funny)! He's never owned a pair, but now he is a band geek. The girlies and I need to go into the mall to check out a store that carries Tarina Tarantino jewelry (They have an Alice line out now, bestill my heart. I love me some Alice).

They also carry misc. stuff from Natural Life which is adorable.

I need some gift ideas for my daughter because I have no clue yet. My little twin daughter is done...she's easy because, well she's me. Then it's off to the hair salon to re-do my highlights. Going with stop sign red because not to sure what they used for the silvery blue. If it were up to me I'd get pink, but not to sure what they would say at the hospital??? And sad to say, but my son wants to chop his long locks off:( Makes me want to cry because I love long hair on boys and he is just to darn cute.

Then I need to stop by Joanne's for some embroidery stuff. I got to get the things to make Addy some onsies  for the holidays. All from Sublime Stitching.

I got this great application for my Iphone called the Starbucks Music For the Holidays. It has sooo many of the old original Christmas songs and alot of new Indie versions. It's great because it plays them for free, but it controls how the songs are shuffled. It does give a purchase option for each one. As I was listening, Sarah Mclaughlin (whom I love) had a Christmas song on there entitled "River". As I started listening, I knew this song from one of my favorite movies "Almost Famous". Never knew this was a Christmas song and never knew who sang it. It looks like Joni Mitchell was the original one. It is truly beautiful. Sometimes I wish I had a river...........................................................................

Brown Eyed Girls

How did I get so blessed with such beautiful children.....
