Frank Warren has a new book out. For those not familiar he is the founder of Postsecrets...a public art project that encourages people to write down a secret on a decorated postcard and send it to him. In leui, he posts so many each week on his website and publishs them in his forthcoming books. Now my kids are the ones who got me hooked. In fact my 80 year old grandmother couldn't put one of the books down at Christmas.
It is engaging and many times heart wrenching to hear some peoples innermost hidden worries, failures, elation's, smiles, and the list goes on. I am so sorry that I missed him a few weeks ago at UF. Once again the daily grind of work has stopped me in my tracks.
Farm to Family Full Moon Festival. Unfortunately I missed the three day Labor Day event due to having to work. Hospitals don't shut down...EVER! However, on October 31 there is another full moon festival. Yeah! We are planning on going and camping out.
Alexis went for 2 days on Labor Day and camped. She said it was great...a mini Woodstock...What??? I'm there.
On a full moon note...another adorable book for Addy. Anything dealing with the full moon is all good:)
I don't go to the movies often unless it's something I REALLY want to see. They come out so fast on DVD that I can't justify taking the fam and spending 80.00. However, our tradition is to always catch a Thanksgiving movie and one for Christmas. DH and I broke away and saw Taking Woodstock. I loved it...what can I say. Love 1969..I was born that year. It's sad, but our world will never see another Woodstock. Our country is to violent, greedy, drug addicted...just purely messed up.
That's why I'd like to take off and move to Europe.
